Robert N. Senft, 90, of York, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 17, 2010, at his residence. He was the husband of Ethel M. (Bear) Senft, to whom he was married for 69 years, on 1 Jun 1940 at Quickel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Conewago Twp, York, Pennsylvania

Born November 20, 1919, in North York, he was the last remaining survivor of seven children of the late George C. and Rosa B. (Glatfelter) Senft.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He retired in 1982 from the former York Borg Warner after 42 years of service. He was a member of Quickel Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council for many years. He was a member of the Lutheran Men's Club of York County; the Thrivent Auxiliary of Lutheran Social Services; Shiloh American Legion #791; Mt. Wolf V.F.W. #2493; and had volunteered as a driver for Touch a Life. He had been President of Quickel Church Cemetery for many years; and was a life member and past District Governor of Lions International.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Senft is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Quickel Church Cemetery, with military rites provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
