OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)
Mrs. Frank A. Rettig, prominent life resident of Wabash and county, died at the Wabash county hospital at 7:30 o'clock Thursday morning following an operation on Monday. She had been ill several months.

Mrs. Rettig, who was a member of the American Legion auxiliary and the Past Matrons' club at the time of her death, had a host of friends. She was a former district president of the Women's Relief Corps and at one time an Altrusa club member. For a number of years she operated the Rettig Flower shop.

Nellie Rettig, who resided at 274 north Comstock street, was born 51 years ago on Nov. 20 at Lincolnville. She married Frank A. Rettig, who operates a wholesale establishment on Canal street, on April 6, 1911.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Don Bowlby of Indianapolis and Mrs. Clinton Osthimer of this city, and her mother, Mrs. A. R. Owen. Three brothers, Homer G. Owen, Chicago; Garl Owen, Gary; and Jesse P. Owen, Wabash, together with three grandchildren, Clinton Rettig Osthimer, Nancy Ann Bowlby and Donald Bowlby, also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the Hoover Funeral home at 2 o'clock Saturday with Rev. Elmer Smith of the First Evangelical church in charge. Burial will be in Falls cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call. The Eastern Star of which Mrs. Rettig was Worthy Matron in 1924, will hold twilight services on Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock.
