Harper P. Cool, 60, of 121 Harrison Ave , died unexpectedly at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov 15, at his home. His death was attributed to a heart attack. Born in Waynesboro, April 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Emma Jane (Peters) Cool. All of his life was lived in Waynesboro, and he was a graduate of the Waynesboro High School with the class of 1942. He served with the U S Army in the African-Middle Eastern Theater during World War II, and had been disabled since being wounded in action in Italy in 1943. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Owls Club, Order of Owls, American Legion, VFW, Mechanics Fire Co., AARP and the Disabled American Veterans, Chambersburg He is survived by these brothers and sisters, Charles W. Cool, Mrs. Jane Ingram, Mark L. Cool, Mrs. Roberta Benjamin, O. Ray Cool and Mrs. Ann Ferguson, all of Waynesboro.
Services will be held Monday at n11 a m. in the Grove Funeral Home with Pastor David Clark officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
