Elmer was born Dec. 1, 1914, in Bosque County. Before moving to Fort Worth to become a bus driver, he maintained the family farm for several years. He enjoyed his job as a frequently requested bus driver for charter services with youth, church and Dolly's Darlings tour groups. He drove in most of the lower 48 states and Canada with a perfect driving record. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor and teased with the healthcare aides until three days before his death.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Florence; brother, Arthur Jeanes; sister, Claudia Beal.
Survivors: His daughter, Nelda Sander, husband, Doug, granddaughters, Carmela and Dahra Latham; daughter, Donna Stockton, husband, Mark, granddaughter, Sara, grandson, Zack Stockton.
