Former Palmerite Buried At Worms -
Funeral services for a former Palmer resident, Chris Michaelson, 84, were held Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Burial was in the cemetery at Worms.

Mr. Michaelson, a resident of the Lakeview Nursing Home in Grand Island, died Wednesday after being seriously ill for ten days.

Mr. Michaelson was born Sept. 8, 1888 in Platte County. He married Bertha Hake on October 28, 1909 and they resided near Columbus until moving to Grand Island.

Survivors include four daughters, Ms. Fred Kamper of Loveland, Colorado, Mrs. Glen Almquist of Littleton, Colo., Mrs. Lawrence Powell of Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Clayton Fagen of Fremont: six sisters, Mrs. Mary Krumland, Mrs. Alma Cattau, and Mrs. Emma Spitz, all of Columbus and Mrs. Katie Kuck, Mrs. Minnie Schmidt and Mrs. Sena Schmidt, all of Grand Island; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
