SALINA - Armour, Catherine 88, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2010. She was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Vine Creek, KS, the daughter of Claude and Anna Smith. She married Curtis Armour and after his time in the U.S. military they settled in Wichita. Together they owned and operated Armour Auto Supply for which she was the bookkeeper. In the early seventies they moved to Bennington to farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; her son, Alan C. Armour; and her sister, Charlotte Zeller. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Marcia Armour; one brother, Jack Smith; two granddaughters, Julie Baughman and husband Kevin and Jennifer Hill and husband Chris; and four great-grandchildren, Adam and Parker Baughman and Jay and Bailey Hill. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Bennington Cemetery, Bennington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the United Way of Salina.
