He was born November 28, 1954 in Monticello, Ky., the son of the late Dock Coolidge and Edna Mae Spradlin Acrey.
He married Debbie Brown, who survives.
He is also survived by one son-Alfie Acrey; one daughter-Kim Houseman; two brothers-Kinney Acrey and Tony Harvey; and seven grandchildren-Rayanna Jenna, Samuel Ray Paul and Mary Elizabeth Acrey, Jeremiah, Ben, Sarah Houseman and Macayla Sexton.
He was preceded in death by two sisters-Gloria Mae and Betty Jane Acrey; and four grandchildren-Edith, Matthew, Louise and Oretta.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Parnell Church of God with Bro. Les Gilreath and Bro. Allen Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Parnell Church of God Cemetery.
