About 1881, Catherine married Thomas Carroll (1852-1901), born in Pennsylvania. Thomas was a son of Thomas Carroll, born in Ireland (1816-bef 1860), and Mary A. Brown (1815-?), born in Maryland.
Thomas and Catherine settled in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, where Thomas was a hotel keeper. They had five known children: Mary Ellen Carroll (1883-1950), William George Carroll (1887-1968), Leo Francis Carroll (1890-1956), Irene Carroll (1893-1893) and Grace Carroll (1897-1947), all born in Pennsylvania.
After her husband died in 1901, Catherine remained in Altoona until she died on Oct 26, 1920. Both are buried in St. John's Cemetery.
