Vesta May Robertson, 97, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on January 14, 2010.
Mrs. Robertson spent her life teaching elementary school in both Illinois and Arizona, including Grant School in Belleville, Illinois and Wilson School in Phoenix, Arizona.
Vesta has donated more than 25 years as a volunteer on the Auxiliary of the Phoenix Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Robertson married her loving husband of 65 years on August 4, 1945 in Belleville, Illinois. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Robertson; daughter, Ruby Poole; grandchildren: Karen (Rob) Robinson, Chris Poole, Tracy Poole and Wendy (Shannon) Barkett; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Katy, Alix, Madison and O'Ryan; and many nieces, nephews and other family.
Visitation: friends may call on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois., Reverend Doug Stewart Officiating.
Interment will take place in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois. V
