After a month's illness Wilbert F. Johnson, 77 years 6 months 6 days, died Wednesday afternoon at Neosho Memorial Hospital.

A retired farmer, he moved to the Chanute area in 1940 from Lindsborg. He was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church in Burdick. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Johnson, he was born 25 February 1894, in Burdick. He and Hilma Hawkinson were married June 6, 1923, in Herrington.

Surviivors include the widow, of the home; a son, William A.; two daughters, Mrs Dorothy Heaton, Redondo Beach, Calif., and Joan, Neodesha; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wesley Freedlun, Vacaville, Calif., and Mrs. Haskel Coats, Kansas City, and a brother, Alvin J. Johnson, Burdick. He was preceded in death by a son, Roderick V., in 1954.
