"OBITUARY"

WARSAW-- D. Jeanette Bollinger, 81, of 1630 S. County Farm Road, died 4 a.m. Sunday (June 10, 2007) at Miller Merry Manor in Warsaw.

She was born Jan. 17, 1926, in, in Elkhart County to Wilbur Rose and Mary Marie (Fulford) Crume. She married Dean R. Bollinger on Jan. 17, 1946, at the First Brethren Church in Goshen. He died Aug. 9, 1989.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Bollinger of New Paris and Paula (Ron Thompson) Shalley of Warsaw; one son, Greg (Pat Redman) Bollinger of Waesaw; one sister, Hazel Purciarele of Elkhart; one brother, Leonard Crume of Goshen; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Bollinger; one daughter, Claudia Bollinger; one brother, Arthur Crume; and two sister, Irene Detwiler and Alyce Ulrey.

Visitation is set for 2 to 8 p.m. on Thuesday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The body will lie in repose an hour prior to the sirvice, set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Paris of the Brethern on the corner of Fourth and Division streets in New Paris. Pastor Stan Godfrey of the Church of the Brethern will officiate and burial will take place at New Paris Cemetery.

Mrs. Bollinger was a homemaker and worked at the former Oli Lamp Restaurant in New Paris, where she used to live, for 20 years. She was a member of New Paris Church of the Brethern, Gauduted from Goshen High School in 1944 and loved her grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Jeanette was born to Wilbur Rose and Mary Marie (Fulford) Crume. She was adopted and raised by Walter and Nellie (Beane) Wambold, after her mother died and her father was unable to take care of the small children by himself. Her parents Wilbur Rose and Mary Marie (Fulford) Crume were married on April 25, 1917 in Elkhart IN. Her sibilings are as followed, Rebecca Rose, Irene, Alice, Arthur W., Hazel, Mary Lou and Wilbur Crume. Rebecca Rose was killed in an auto accident on June 16, 1928, Mary Lou was born dead on July 25, 1927, Wilbur died during child birth on Nov. 29, 1929, and their mother died on Dec. 11, 1929, just twelve days later from problems with the child birth of Wilbur. After all that had happened, their father Wilbur Rose Crume was unable to take care of the small children. So they were put up for adoption. Wilbur married his second wife Violet Pauline Barhydt on August 23, 1931, in IN. Their children are as followed, Richard Crume, Leonard Raymond Crume, Ralph Earl Crume, Athena May (Crume) Sharum and Jacquelin Diane (Crume) Besson.
