Of Dutch descent, one of eight children born to John Blaw (1677-1757) and wife Margaret (Marytje/Grietje) Unknown. His father John Blaw was baptized at the Brooklyn Dutch Reformed Church in Kings Co. NY. and later became a yeoman farmer in Somerset Co. NJ.
Frederick Blaw (buried here as Blew) married 3 times:
1st to Mary Unknown who died in 1751
2nd in 1751 to Jane Nevius, the widow of Jeromus Koshow and daughter of Peter Nevius of Blawenburg
3rd in 1784 to Elizabeth McNeal
