ROSELAND-Susie D. Coffey, 85, of Route 1, Roseland, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 1992) at her residence. She was born June 29, 1906, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Selburn Woody and Nellie Belle Ramsey Dodd.
Mrs. Coffey was a member of Beech Grove Christian Church and retired from Du Pont Co. after 27 years of service.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Martin Dodd, and by a sister, Charlotte Virginia Dodd.
Survivors include two sons, Pat Layman Coffey of Waynesboro and Paul Ellen Coffey of Afton; three daughters, Elsie Viola Coffey Truslow of Whitehall, Nellie Elizabeth Coffey of Roseland and Peggy Sue Coffey Perry of Tullahoma, Tenn.; a brother, Layman P. Dodd of Roseland; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home by Pastor Robert Mansfield. Burial will be in Beech Grove Christian Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be James Thomas, Richard Holley, Shelton Dodd, Eugene Nicholson, Mike Baird, Jim Jones, Wendall Dodd and Clark Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers and flowerbearers will be Moe Martin, Garnett Falls, Stage Falls, Page Groves, Donald Falls, Ray Falls, Jim Koschara, David Dodd, Shelton Eye and Greg Eye.
