George Black was a city policeman for Graham, Texas. He was a member of one of the best-known families in this region. His father was pastor of the First Baptist Church in Graham for a number of years and one of the most prominent men in this section of Texas. Mr. Black had been a member of First Baptist Church for a number of years.

Survived by one son - Ewell Black; daughters - Mrs. Rex Repass, Mrs. Doris Paschall, Mrs. Betty Casburn, and Mrs. Nell Norton; one brother - John Black; one sister - Miss Leta Black.
