Cornelia's father, Cornelius Rench (1858 to 1890), passed away right before she was born. Her mother, Zurilda Alice Adams (1858 to 1945), married Charles Tally Jones (1851 to 1911) in 1894. Cornelia used her step father's last name - making both her maiden name and her first married name Jones - as her first husband was also her step brother.
She married Charles Frederick Jones (1881 to 1956) in about 1908. They became the parents of four children:
