John Wehling, 59, Friday at his farm home near Readlyn; born in Cook County, Illinois, September, 1884, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wehling; came to Iowa with his parents when he was four; married Amanda Huebner Sept. 5, 1907 at Klinger; entire married life was spent in Bremer county, except three years in Black Hawk; member of St. Paul's Lutheran church; leaves widow and the following children: Roy, Dewar; Lorenz, Waverly; Arthur, LaVern, Erwin, Raymond and Harold all at home; Mrs. Frank Bohle, Waverly; Mrs. Ed Oltrogge, Readlyn; Mrs. Theodore Kuker, Sumner; Mrs. C. Schumacher, Dewar; Mrs. Harold Strottman, Sumner; three brothers, Fred, Readlyn; Will and Herman, Denver; and one sister, Mrs. H. F. Klemp, Tripoli; also 21 grandchildren; funeral 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran church; burial in St. Paul's cemetery.
