Sudden Death of Little Pearl Epler.

On Saturday evening, March 27, the angel of death came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Epler and bore to its heavenly home the spirit of their daughter, a bright girl of 12 years. Little Pearl was the light of the home and always loving and kind, and so thoughful for one of her years. At school she was a model pupil, studying dilligently, and always faithful in the discharge of her duty to her teacher and schoolmates. But she has been promoted, the Great Teacher has called her to a higher class. There is a vacant chair at the hearth, there is a vacant seat in the school room; there is a void in the aching hearts that can never be filled on this earth. Though her spirit has taken its everlasting flight, we have the consolation of a meeting in the future.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. George Tuttle, speaking from these words; "Suffer the little childre to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Mark 10:14. The discourse was eloquent and full of meaning for the living and respect to the deceased, after which the remains were placed in the cemetery at Elbert, to return to dust whilst the spirit returned to the God who gave it, while hope lies cherished in the hearts of the bereaved that they will have the privilege to meet again on the evergreen shore.
