Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Cora Ava Green, 84, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery Chapel.
Rev. Lester Mason will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
The family will gather at First Presbyterian Church before and after the services between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday. Friends are invited to come visit.
Mrs. Green died Friday, December 25, 1998, at Shawnee Regional Hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1914, in Pauls Valley to J. T. and Nancy Viola (Fox) Hargis.
Mrs. Green moved with her family to Colorado, then in 1938, moved to Seminole, where she continued to live.
She was a graduate of Seminole High School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Green worked as a nurse's aide at Pioneer Nursing Home and retired in 1986 after 17 years.
She married W. C. Green on December 24, 1941, in Wetumka. He survives her of the home.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda S. Green.
Other survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law; one sister, Nettie McCluskey; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
