Christened March 30, 1582, In St Editha, Tamworth, England.
Husband of Elizabeth Sparry. Married at Tamworth, Staffordshire, 8 Oct 1609, (Elizabeth Sparry). She is not seen in New England records.
Children, Patience, William II, Humphrey, Susannah, William III and Robert.
He built the Great House at Strawberry Banke in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the first water powered saw mill in the United States at Great Works, South Berwick Maine.
Carpenter from Tamworth who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1634 on the "Pied Cow" & settled at Kittery ME.
Savage, Pope, & Banks present inconsistent account of this family. William apparently emigrated alone. It is unclear when his children followed.
