William Carl Knott, 49, 910 E. 20th St., died at 7:45 a.m., Saturday [January 31, 1970] in the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital after an illness of about six weeks. He had lived in Owensboro and Daviess County all his life. Knott is survived by his wife, Margie Knott; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Wright of Carrolton; three brothers, Larry Knott, Columbus, OH; Bernard Knott of the US Air Force in Maine, and Leo Knott, US Navy, Great Lakes, IL; two sisters, Mrs. Imogene McDaniels, St. Joseph, KY, and Mrs. Angela Merici, Chicago, IL. The Rev. James O. Lively, pastor of the Mr. Zion Presbyterian Church, will conduct funeral services at the James H. Davis Funeral Home at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today.
