Born near Macon on July 18, 1869, he married Margaret Morrison in Assumption June 8, 1893.
In the banking business for 45 years, Mr. Hight became president of the Illinois State bank in Assumption after he had worked there since 1888. He moved to Assumption on Dec. 1, 1888, and retired in 1933.
He leaves his wife; a son, E. Wayne Hight of St. Louis; one grandson; five brothers and sisters, Mrs. J.H. Culver of Decatur, Miss Nora Hight of Decatur, Robert Hight of Chicago and Clyde and Ray Hight, both of Moweaqua. Another sister, Mrs. Margaret Webb, died on Nov. 8.
Burial will be in the Macon cemetery.
