Mrs. Darlene N. Willis, age 55 of the Normantown Community, Vidalia, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 under the care of hospice. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, a waitress at the Huddle House in Vidalia and Lyons for twenty years, attended the Normantown Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland Vaughn.
Mrs. Willis is survived by her husband, Alan of Normantown, one daughter, Lisa (Shannon) Rewis of Vidalia, one son, Junior (Wendie) of Metter, her mother, Jessie Mae Vaughn Westberry, one sister, Dianne Vaughn of Vidalia, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews of Toombs, Emanuel and Chandler Counties.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Zorn officiating. Internment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
