Vidalia - Mrs. Jessie Mae Vaughn Wesberry, age 82, of Vidalia, died Friday, February 27, 2015 in The Oaks at Bethany after a brief illness. She was a native of Oak Park, and lived in Toombs County most of her life. She worked at Oxford Manufacturing in Vidalia and at the Bethany Home for many years. She was a member of the Vidalia Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Cleveland Vaughn in 1984 and Knighten Wesberry; four children, Brenda Joyce Burke, Jerry Dean Vaughn, Darlene Willis, and an infant daughter; parents, Jessie and Minnie McDaniel; two brothers, Eunice McDaniel and Charlie McDaniel; and a sister, Lurene Davis.

Mrs. Wesberry is survived by one daughter, Gloria Dianne Vaughn; one sister, Mary Ann Holland of Wauchula, Florida; four grandchildren, Michelle Leigh Burke of Vidalia, Randy “Junior” Newsome of Metter, Angie Ann Hitchcock and husband Rodney of Cedar Crossing, and Lisa Ann Rewis of Collins; nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service will be held Monday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Park City Cemetery with Elder Mike Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church, P.O.
