Her tombstone was lost in the flood in the 1990s.

Mrs. Almeda McConkey, age 53, wife of William McConkey, died at 8 o'clock this morning at the home on Kimbolton route two, following a short illness.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five children Thomas E., of South Twelfth street; James, of North Fourth street; Mrs. Nettie Bell, of Kimbolton route one; Mrs. Margaret Miller, of North Salem and Mrs. Hazel Moose, of Cambridge route two; three brothers, Charles Cramblett, of Norwich; Joe, of Newtown, and Garfield, of Lore City; and five sisters, Mrs. Jennie Haines, of Gnadenhutten; Mrs. Mary Wortman, of Cambridge route one; Mrs. Emma Hayes and Miss Fannie Cramblett, of Old Washington; and Mrs. Walter Hill, of Cambridge.
She was a member of the Methodist church at North Salem and had many friends who mourn her loss.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral services for Mrs. Almeda McConkey will be held at the North Salem M.E. church Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and burial will be made at the Kimbolton cemetery.
