Mary L. Taylor Black passed away January 6, 2010. She was born in Logan County, Kentucky to E.W. and Johnnie Mae Taylor. She was a 1940 graduate of Crispus Attucks High School. She retired from Navistar and Target in Nora. Mary was an active member of Christ Missionary Baptist Church and its Senior Usher Board and Sunday School for over 50 years until her recent illness. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Earl D. Black, Sr. (Sgt. Black); her brothers, Douglas Taylor, Dr. Eugene Taylor; her sisters, Doris E. Jones and Emily Reeves. She is survived by her son, Earl D. Black, Jr. (Tanya); sister, Magalean Greene; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
