Birrell - Hunt
A wedding of interest was solemized (sic) at the Christian parsonage, Wednesday afternoon, April 2, When Miss Rachael Birrell became the wife of Mr. Joseph S. Hunt. The ring ceremony was preformed (sic) by Rev. F. E. Blanchard of the Christian church. The young couple were accompanied by the brides twin sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Spafford.
Following the ceremony a dinner was given in honor of the young couple at the home of the brides parents, only immediate relatives were present.
Mrs. Hunt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Birrell, and is well and favorably known having grown to womenhood (sic) in this vicinity. Mr. Hunt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hunt of this city, and is a prosperous young farmer. They will be at home to their friends After April 20, at their farm home south-west of Chester. - Chester Herald.

BELLEVILLE - The funeral for Mrs. Rachel F. Hunt, 84, Belleville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, Lon Hardy officiating. Burial will be in the Chester Cemetery at Chester, Neb.
Mrs. Hunt died Monday at the Belleville Health Care Center. She was born April 19, 1896, in Thayer County, Neb. She and her husband lived on a farm northwest of Belleville for many years before moving into Belleville several years ago. She was a member of the Central Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home.

Rachel Birrell Hunt, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Birrell, was born April 19, 1896, on a farm near Chester, and died April 13, 1981, at the Belleville Health Care Center at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to Joe S. Hunt on April 2, 1919. They lived most of their married life on a farm in Liberty Township before moving to Belleville in 1961.
She was a member of the Christian Church in Chester, and the Central Christian Church of Belleville. Rachel was also a member of the C.W.F. and the Sew and Sew Club of Liberty Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a twin sister, a half brother and sister.
She is survived by her husband; a nephew, Robert Spafford, whom the Hunts raised, and Donna Spafford Dawes, several other nieces, nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Central Christian Church of Belleville, April 16 conducted by Lon Hardy. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
