Obituary:
A. R. ANDERSON Bear Valley Man Dies in Hospital as Result of Embolism Adam Rupert Anderson, 49, of Bear Valley, died yesterday in Shamokin Hospital a short time before he was scheduled for release, after having undergone an operation at the institution several weeks ago. Death, according to doctors, was due to an embolism, Mr. Anderson was stricken 111 about a month ago and submitted to an operation. He was apparently well On the road to recovery, and when physicians at the hospital agreed to his release, plans were made for his dismissal, Adam Rupert Anderson, a son of the late William and Katie tHeckert) Anderson, was born at Dalmatia, May 21, 1893. Receiving his early education at that place, he came to Shamokin 27 years ago and secured employment as . lamp man at Bear Valley Colliery. When that operation closed several years ago, he entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company. Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Teressa Geist, of Trev -orton, to whom he was married April 8, 191C; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Williams, Shamokin; two sons, Phillip, Delair, N. J., and Rob ert, and one grandchild. Two brotn.-ers, Clyde, Minnesota; Frank, Hern-don; three sisters, Mrs. William Savidge, Mrs. Isaac Bordman and Mrs. William Kerstetter, all of Riv erside, survive, also. Funeral services will be held a.t the home Saturday afternoon at 1:30, with Rev. E. E. Breeman, of the Church of the Brethren, in charge. Burial will be in Gospel Hall Cemetery, West Cameron. Township. Viewing will be Friday afternoon until the time of tne funeral.
