SHOWALTER-On the 11th of June, near Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., Va., Maria Showalter, maiden name Ebersole, aged 76 years, funeral services at Weaver's Church on the 13th by G.D. Heatwole and G.A. Wilson, She was for many years a faithful member of the Mennonite Church. Her health had been poor for several years, and the last 8 months was not able to leave her house. She was perfectly resigned to the will of the Lord; her desire was to depart and be with Christ which she thought would be far better. When she was about to leave the world, she told her friends not to try to keep her here. Her special desire was to live in peace with all. She had a bright memory to the last. Peace to her ashes.
