James N. Singleton is the son of Samuel Singleton Jr. and Mary A. "Molley" Judge of Searcy, Gray Twp, White Co, Arkansas. He first married Minnie D. __ abt 1886 and had two children: Irene (Oct 1887) and Elmer N. (Mar 1891). After Minnie died in 1898, James remarried Ola E. Burns on 19 Aug 1900, and they had 6 children: Willie I. (female), Judge N., Mary Margaret, Charles Harold, Sidney and Don. He resided in Searcy, Gray Twp, White Co, AR his entire adult life. James is listed as widowed in the 1930 AR Fed Census.
