Which was the Official organ of the Native Sons of the Golden West, and the
Native Daughters of the Golden West, and each month they would listed
pioneers who had died recently:
Ralph Boles, one of Placer county's oldest Pioneers, died at Auburn
recently aged 92 years. In 1850 he came from his native State of
Ohio around the isthmus to California. He settled at Rattlesnake
Bar, between Auburn and Folsom, and had resided there continuously up
to four years ago, when he went to Auburn. Three daughters and a son
survive.
