OTTO REICHWALDT

Otto Reichwaldt, 96, formerly of Kiel, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997 at Chilton Health and Rehabilitation Center where he was a resident for the past five years.

He was born June 6, 1901 in the Town of Schleswig, son of the late John and Marie (Kaplick) Reichwaldt. On July 20, 1922 he married the former Edna Balz and she preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1922. For 39 years he was self employed as a painter and decorator until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ where he served on the consistory. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his two daughters, Elaine Wilkens of Kiel and Sharon (Bruce) Kryscio of Winter Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were held at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home in Kiel with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial was in the Kiel City Cemetery.
