Farmington, IL - Myra D. Holmstrom, 80, of Farmington, Ill., passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at 10:16 a.m. at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington.

She was born in Mackinaw, Ill., on Feb. 5, 1929, the daughter of Henry and Rosa (Shrenk) Dietrich. She married Kenneth Holmstrom on June 17, 1950, in Goodfield, Ill. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Roger Holmstrom of Farmington; two daughters, Cynthia (Tom) Kelley of Chillicothe and SuAnn (Dan) Grant of Lenexa, Kan.; five grandchildren, Amanda Holmstrom, Chad Holmstrom, Seth Holmstrom, Erin (Rob) Murphy and Jay (Amy) Kelley; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Murphy; and one sister-in-law, Mary Dietrich.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church.

She attended Bradley University for two years.

She and her husband were longtime members of the Spoon River Scenic Drive.

She was an avid sports fan, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, loved showing livestock at the fair, and loved to travel and sell jewelry with her husband.

There will be a graveside service at Salem Lutheran Cemetery No. 2 in Varna, Ill.
