Oscar Owen Elder, 73, of Hardinsburg died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Nettie Dean Elder; two sons, Michael Owen Elder and Timothy Wayne Elder; a sister, Edna Thompson; and a brother, Paul Vernon Elder. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Burns Funeral Home in Cloverport. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Visitation: After 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Oscar Owen Elder, age 73, of Hardinsburg, died Thursday (9/17) at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Nettie Dean Elder, 2 sons: Michael Owen Elder of Hardinsburg and Timothy Wayne Elder of Hawesville, a brother: Paul Vernon Elder of Owensboro, a sister: Edna Thompson of Lakeland, FL and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Cloverport with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to Calvary Cemetery--envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
