Victoria Elsie Prosise SPARKS, 63, wife of Charles Wilson SPARKS, 2234 Jefferson, died Tueday at the family home of a heart condition.
She was born April 6, 1883, near Nashville, Tenn., a daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Sarah Webster PROSISE. The family moved from Nashville to Missouri when she was three years old and her education was obtained in the latter state. She and Mrs. (Mr.) SPARKS were married in Lowry City, Mo., Jan. 26, 1903. That was the family home until moving to Boulder, Wyo., in 1907. They lived in Boulder and Ogden alternately from 1938 to 1942 and since 1942 made Ogden their home. She was a member of the First Christian church and Ladies Aid society. Mr. SPARKS is a retired rancher from the Wyoming area.
Surviving are the husband, one son and four daughters, Donald SPARKS, Boulder, Wyo.; Mrs. Zeda ROOP of Boulder; Mrs. Irene SUMMERS, Pinedale, Wyo.; Mrs. Thelma SWARTZ, Ogden, and Mrs. Cleo HERGENREDER of Denver, Colo., and two sisters, Mrs. J. W. CARDWELL, Ash Grive, Mo., and Mrs. J. C. TOWNSEND, Vineta, Okla.; also seven grandchildren.

The community was saddened Monday by the death of Mrs. Chas. SPARKS who passed away at Ogden, Utah. Mrs. SPARKS, several years back had to leave the community due to her health, and she has been missed by her many friends. Mrs. SPARKS is survived by her husband, Mr. Charles SPARKS, one son Donald and four daughters, Irene, Zeda, Thelma, & Cleo. There are also eight grandchildren. Irene and Zeda were at their mother's bedside on her passing. Funeral services will be held Friday at Ogden. [Image #4]. *anc.com09/29/2008.

Lloyd W. Newton of the First Christian church. Friends may call at the mortuary thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Aultorest Memorial park.
