From the Robbins Genealogical Collections (LDS Film #1036069):

William the father d. 30 Dec. 1836 ae. 58:4:28 - Abigail d. 19 Oct. 1856 ae. 74:8:15. He was 6 ft. 4 in. in height, and none of brothers or sisters less than 6 ft. Farmer, Thetford 1801/2 - Norwich 1807 - Peacham 19 Feb 1815, d. at Craftsbury.

The "George Robbins in Chelmsford, Mass., 1666" item by Isaac Gilbert Robbins, p. 16 (LDS film #1036069 "Robbins Genealogical Collections") gives his birthdate as 02 Aug 1778. Birthplace said just "Dunstable" (no state).

I believe William is the brother of Benjamin Robbins, "of Dunstable, New Hampshire" (when Benjamin purchased land in Thetford, VT in 1791). They later partnered in another land purchase. A John Robbins of Dunstable, NH, purchased 108 acres in Dunstable, NH, in 1772 and quickly sold half to John Robbins, of Westford, Massachusetts. I believe that William and Benjamin are the sons of this John who was probably the John Robbins who married Sarah Gilson and who may have moved to Dunstable, NH, near Sarah's brothers.
