Hancock, Pauline Stiles Johnson – She was born on February 23, 1929. She remained a faithful member of the Mount Avenue Church of God until she went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by husbands, William Earl "Jack" Johnson and James Oliver Hancock; parents, Fred and Lula Stiles; brothers, Ralph, Fred Jr., Roland, Mart, Harold and Charles Clayton Stiles; sister, Lucille Maples; grandson, William Earl ‘Billy" Duncan; great grandchildren, Breanna Harris, William Earl Duncan II and John Wesley Duncan; sons-in-law, Bud Branch and John Duncan. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Branch of Kodak, Brenda (John) Lane of Dandridge, Frances Duncan and her companion, Robert Maples of Knoxville, Jacqueline (Melvin) Clay of Conley, GA; stepchildren, Judy (Sam) Buhl and David (Annie) Hancock both of Knoxville; ten grandchildren; one step granddaughter; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister, Icelona (W.L) Johnson of Caryville; and a host of nieces and nephews. The service will be held in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Billy Harris and Rev. Gary Stiles Sr. officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12 noon Monday at the funeral home and will proceed to Pollard Cemetery for the interment at 1:00 p.m. Active Pallbearers; Sam Buhl, Alex Doig, Stewart Fine, David Hancock, Gary Stiles, Jr., and Terry Stiles.
