Nelda A. Rasske, 88, formerly of 101 Western Ave., died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002,
at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, where she was a resident.
She was born on April 19, 1914, in the Town of Kiel, a daughter of Nathan and
Eva Phrang Burgdorff. On Sept. 1, 1940, she married Walter Rasske at Dubuque,
Iowa. Nelda owned and operated Wally’s Eat Shop on North Main Street in Fond
du Lac from 1945 to 1958. Her husband, Wally, managed the Clark Gas Station
next door to the Eat Shop. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include one son, Richard (Karen) of Fond du Lac; one grandson, Ryan
(Shelly) of Bristow, Va.; and one sister-in-law, Florence Bradley of Fond du Lac.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband on Aug. 19, 1994.
Services: Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Uecker-Witt Funeral
Home, with the Rev. David Redman officiating. A family burial service will take
place at Kiel Cemetery in the Town of Kiel.
