Hattie Bradt Packer

Hattie Minnie Bradt, daughter of William and Elizabeth Bradt, was born at Laporte (sic), Ind., September 27, 1867 and died at her home north of Belleville December 9, 1934, at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 12 days.

At the age of ten she moved with her parents to Nebraska, where at Diller she was married to Charles J. Packer. In 1920 they came to Republic county (sic), where they purchased the farm northwest of Belleville. To this union were born eight children, one son dying in infancy. A daughter, Hattie, died in 1919, and Mr. Packer also proceeded her in death, in 1932,

She is survived by two sons. John J. of Beatrice, Neb., and Ray of Gaylord, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Allen of Denver, Mrs. Fred Iwohn of Clatonia, Neb., Mrs. Will Genrich of Beatrice, Neb., and Mrs. Floyd Coons of Chester, Neb.; 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Whitten of Pomona, Cal., Mrs. Nettie Tonnemaker and Mrs. Paul Harvey of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Cora Tonnemaker of Zillah, Wash.; and two brothers, Joseph of Bremerton, Ore., and Harrison of Maplewood. Ore.

Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday afternoon, December 11, and were conducted by the Rev. J.G. Roberts of the Belleville Methodist church (sic). Interment was made in the cemetery at Chester.
