George Binney, 75, 2144 N. Locke St., died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, following an illness of six months.
Born July 6, 1898, in Little Rock Ark., he was the son of Harry and Kate (Parker) Binney. On July 23, 1919, he married Lucy Stahl, who survives.
He was a member of the Greentown Lodge No.341, F and AM, and the Kokomo chapter of the veterans of World War 1. He had operated a welding shop in Greentown for 13 year, retiring in 1960, and had served with the Army in France in World War 1.
Surviving with the widow, are a son, Max Binney, of Anderson, a daughter, Mrs. Sam (Marjorie) Hamilton, of Kokomo; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the Pickett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Bardsley, officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday.
