Six Arkansans Missing Battle Areas

Washington, April 3 - The Navy Department listed four Arkansans as missing in an official release today and the War Department announced two state soldiers were missing.

Missing navy personnel included Comdr. Fred Connaway, son of Mrs. E.W. Connaway of Forrest City; TM-3C Charles Edward Miller, son of Mrs. Lillie Price Miller of Hazen; Seaman First Class Lecil Kirtland Molder, son of John M. Molder of Denver, and Gunner's Mate Third Class John Calvin Robinette, son of John Harrison Robinette of Conway.

Two Arkansas enlisted men also were included in a War Department list of soldiers held as prisoners of war in Germany. They were: Sgt. William R. Hayes, son of Alsey L. Hayes of near El Dorado, and T-SGT Preston Henderson, son of Mrs. Laura Henderson of Gentry.
