Ivon C Barnes Parker, 79, of Escatawpa, Miss., died Saturday, Sept 22, 2007.
Mrs Parker was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Melvin D. Parker; her father and mother, Noll and Gracie Barnes; her brothers, Elbert, Leroy [Calvin], Curtis, Otis and Myron; and one sister, Margie Barnes Miller.
She is survived by her two sisters, Wilda Barnes Ware [Howard] and Wanda Barnes Hamm [Donald]; her sister-in-law, Kate Barnes of Atlanta, GA., and brother-in-law Bill Miller of Washington; her daughter, Dorothy Ann Cochran[Albert]; her son, Donny M. Parker [Vivian]; her grandchildren, Mekki Mazingo, Hal Cochran, Donna Marie Golson and Kimberly D Wallace; great-grandchildren, Alexis Ann Mazingo, Savannah and Devon Wallace and Jaelyn and Ella Golson. She was so proud to have a nephew, Kelly Barnes and a niece, Amanda K McCara, to share her birth date of Feb 10th. She loved all of her family very much.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept 24, 2007, from 5 p m until 8 p m at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral Services will be Tuesday Sept 25, 2007, from the Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa, Miss., at 1 p m with High Priest, Donald Hamm and Evangelist Tony Tristani officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the Church. Burial will follow at the Community of Christ Cemetery in Escatawpa.
