Wilda Pearl Ware, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, in Grand Bay, AL. Wilda was born on January 28, 1939, in Moss Point, MS, to the late Albert Nole and Gracie Olive Barnes. She worked as a cafeteria worker at Escatawpa Elementary School and then worked at the paper mill for many years. Once she left the paper mill, Wilda spent her time raising her children. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Wilda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Harston Ware.
She is survived by her sons, Kent (Carla) Ware and Howard Lee (Bridgitte) Ware; daughter, Rita (Robert) Dugan; twin sister, Wanda Hamm; grandchildren, Gregory Ware, Haley Ware, Tyler Dugan, and Gillian Dugan; great-grandchildren, Alana Ware, Taylor Ware, Abigail Ware, Brentley Ware, and a great-granddaughter on-the-way; along with other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa, MS. The funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Elder Terry Breland and Vivian Parker officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Serene Memorial Gardens with Robbie Dees, Kevin Hamm, Ashton Clark, Lamar Ware, Dalton Ballinger, and Hunter Johnson serving as pallbearers.
