Michael loved to be outside. His favorite pastimes included playing with toy cars and putting together puzzles. Michael was a lovable and affectionate child and enjoyed giving hugs and kisses to his family and friends. He affected many lives through the short two years of his life and will be missed by all.

Michael is survived by his parents, Mike and Ashley Morgan of Davenport, Iowa; his paternal grandmother, Connie Morgan of Wibaux, Montana; his paternal grandfather, John Morgan and his wife Nancy of Helena, Montana; and his maternal grandparents, Tom and Lisa Fennelly of Davenport, Iowa.
Two-year-old Michael Morgan somehow got outside a relative's house in Wibaux, Mont., while family members were sleeping early on Christmas Eve, according to Dawson County Deputy Coroner Tyler Silha. The toddler was discovered outdoors by a relative about 6:30 a.m. and rushed by ambulance to a hospital in Glendive, but he was already gone. It was an extremely cold Christmas Eve with early-morning temperatures dropping to 15 below zero, according to the National Weather Service. Wibaux is near the Montana-North Dakota border. "The little guy died due to exposure, due to the cold temperatures," Silha said. "He just happened to walk outside. Nobody is at fault. It was a just a freak accident." Michael and his parents were visiting his fathers parents (his grandparents) when the incident occurred. Michael's grandfather said his grandson loved playing with his fire truck and bicycle and going on walks with his parents and grandparents.
