Ada Lee Taylor, 86, of Orange, Texas died Friday, August 20, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Officiating will be Reverend Lennie Wilson of Rosedale Baptist Church, and Reverend Kevin Brown of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m, Monday at First Baptist Church Mauriceville.
Born in Mauriceville, Texas on April 29, 1924, Ada was the daughter of Maria (Linscomb) and T.J. Frederick. She was a longtime resident of Beaumont, but recently moved back to Mauriceville. She worked was a secretary at Gulf Chemical, and was a volunteer at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont for over 25 years.
Ada was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Taylor; and son Ronald F. Broussard.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Christian of Humble, Verna Hutto of Mauriceville, and Joyce Dickerson of Orange; grandchildren, Rhonda Trahan of Mauriceville, Glenda Sullivan and husband Mike of Memphis, Tennessee, and Brenda Patterson of Alvin; great-grand children Meagan and Amanda Rickert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
