Aaron was the son of John Lott and Elizabeth Unknown. No proof in over 20 years of researching of Elizabeth Lott's last name. There was more than one John Lott and this John Lott moved his family from Edgecombe, North Carolina to Fairfield, South Carolina the other John Lott moved to Georgia with his Lott Family. No proof of relationship between John Lott of Fairfield, South Carolina and John Lott of Georgia.

Aaron married Elizabeth Waugh about 1800 in Fairfield, South Carolina. Aaron was in the 1830 census in Fairfield County, South Carolina, The Lott's moved to Mississippi, from South Carolina beteween 1830, and 1840, they lived in Pickens County, Alabama, there was a land record for Aaron Lott in Pickens County in 1834, Benjamin James Lott, son of Aaron Lott, Jr., was born in 1834 in Pickens County, Alabama, as where other Lott children.

Aaron Lott, Sr. was on the personal tax rolls in Carroll County, MS and on the 1840 Carroll County, MS., and 1850 Census. Page 34 of the Carroll County History Book, says that Aaron Lott, Jr, John Lott, William and Andrew came to this country when much of it was wilderness. By industry they felled the forests, built homes, tilled their lands, and made money. In 1854 the Lott's deeded an acre of land at Oak Hall for the church and an acre of land for what's now known as Old Liberty Cemetery.

Aaron Lott, Sr., said he left a will to name his son administrator (John Lott) and knows his estate would be divided equally among his children and grandchildren (Proof is in the Documents of 1853 Will and the Petition of 1857 of Aaron Lott's other children filed in Court against John Lott brother who was administrator of Aaron's estate.) It names all of Aaron and Elizabeth Lott's children, they were Elizabeth Richmond, John, William, Aaron, Vail Jackson Lott deceased (named his children in the will), Toliver W Lott, and Hope S (Hopey), Adaline, and Andrew Lott.

Petition for distribution On filing and hearing the _in this Court for an order on the Executor to pay to petitioners their distribution share of said estate. It is ordered that John Lott. (as heir & Executor) and William Lott, Andrew Lott, Andrew Richmond and wife Elizabeth John Davidson and wife Hopey Davidson and the following heirs of Jackson Lott deceased they being minors, to wit: John Lott Jr. Talford Lott, Rachel Lott Toliver Lott and Jane Lott and Toliver Lott s a non-resident be made defendants to said Petition. That process issue for all said parties except Toliver Lott's; to appear before this court on the 1st Monday of September next to show cause if any why the prayer of said petition has not been granted. An affidavit as to the non residence of Toliver Lott as having been filed. It is ordered that Publication be made for him for four successive weeks in the Carrollton Democrat.
