William J. Barker

William J. Barker, 76, Plainfield, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edward Ketcham officiating, and burial will take place in the Plainfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Goult-Gasperic Funeral Home, Plainfield, from 6 to 9 this evening. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Barker's name.

Born Oct. 31, 1900, in the Town of Plainfield, Mr. Barker was a son of the late Jesse and Minnie Barker. He was a farmer, and lived in the Plainfield area all his life. His first wife, the former Gladys Caves, died in 1942. In 1947 he married Patricia Lange in Wisconsin Rapids. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert, and three grandchildren. Two sisters and a son preceded him in death.

Mr. Barker was a member and past master of the Plainfield Grange.
