My mother Mae Lee Starks loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend is deeply missed by many.

Mae Lee Thompson Starks, daughter of Alfred and Alberta Aldridge Thompson was born June 9, 1930 in Greenwood, Mississippi. THere she attended public shcool and grew into young womanhood. At an early age she professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at Travel Rest Baptist Church of Greenwood.

In 1944 she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana entering the fellowship of New Liberty Baptist Church and later uniting with Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church. She served as a member of the Choir, Usher Board, Prayer Band and Five Key Mothers Club.

Sister Starks was the mother of eight children, two boys and six girls. For many years she was employed at Fort Benjamin Harrison. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister who will long be rememberd and missed by her family and friends. Her warm beautiful smile and pleasand personally endeared her to many. She had a kind word for everyone and was a true joy to be around.

Mrs. Mae Lee Thompson Starks departed this life February 4, 1986 at the age of fifty-five yars, seven months and twenty-six days. She leaves to cherish her memory two devoteds sons, Kenneth Lee and Charles Edward, Jr. Starks, six daughers, Charlene D. Johnson, Shirles A. Odena J. and Tonya A. Starks, Jennifer E. Safford and Vickie R. Ford, fourteen grandchildren, five borthers, Clyde Thomas, William Thompson, Ben, Genie and Earl Allen; five sisters savina Perry, Melzina Williams, Mae Lou Walker, Rosie Mae Cooley, Ella Mae Donald, stepsister Anna Mae Gant, relatives, Saints, church family and countless friends.

Home Going Service, Saturday, February 8, 1986, 1:00 p.m.; Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church, Biship Edwin H. Vaughn officiating. Committal and Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
