2nd Lt. Charles Edwin Remy was killed 10 days after he led an infantry platoon to the front with General Patton's 3rd Army. He served with Co. C of the 328th Infantry, 26th Division. He was married to Mary Alice Phend on 1 Feb 1940 in Kosciusko Co., Indiana.
