Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Newport, age seventy-four, who died Tuesday at her home on Dewey Avenue after an illness of two weeks, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Shirley Brothers Central Chapel. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Newport was born in Indianapolis on December 17, 1859, and had lived here all her life. She was a member of the Central Avenue M.E. Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. O. S. Bertram, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Miss Luella Newport; two sons, Elmer Newport and Harry E. Newport, and a sister, Mrs. Miles E. Clark, all of Indianapolis.
