Dorothy Telford was the second child of Erastus and Coral Telford of Salem IL. They were living in Washington DC in 1905 when she was born. They soon returned to Salem, and Dorothy went through school there. She graduated from Northwestern University and worked for a time at Macy's in New York City. There she met William G. Davis, an attorney. They were married in 1930 and made their home in Indianapolis IN. They were the parents of two children.
After the death of her husband, Dorothy later was married to Vernon MacNabb. They lived in Florida during the winter months, and Dorothy died there. She is buried in Indianapolis.
She was my mother's older sister.
